Camp Allen is the major project of the Boston, MA Kiwanis and the Manchester, NH Lions Clubs. These organizations provide board leadership and ongoing funding support. Camp Allen also participates in the Heritage United Way and the Summer Funding Process of the Associated Grantmakers of Massachusetts. In addition, our full-time staff is actively involved in fund-raising efforts throughout the year in order to enable us to provide a quality program at a reasonable cost.

• Tuition is assessed on an annual basis and each camper is responsible for approximately 60% of the cost.
  
• Campers are assisted with obtaining funding and more than half of our campers receive assistance from third party sources.
  
• The annual budget is approximately $403,000.

ADOPT-A-CAMPER

Through our Adopt-A-Camper Program, individuals and organizations can contribute towards campers tuition. As we receive requests, we will match campers to sponsors. These campers will then be in contact with their sponsors to let them know that they have received sponsorship and how that money will help them. Often, campers then send postcards while staying at camp and thank you letters after they return home. You will receive a picture of the camper that you have sponsored and a copy of the letter of request that they sent asking to be sponsored through our Adopt-A-Camper Program.

Camp Allen would be happy to discuss any more details about this program. We try to match sponsors with campers from the same geographical area and would be happy to give your support to a specific camper if so designated. By adopting a camper, you will be giving caregivers respite from the demands of caring for someone with a disability, while allowing a disabled individual the chance to vacation in a stimulating environment.
