How quickly the year passes! Take a trip out to Camp Allen and you'll see big changes! If you can't visit check out our Facebook page to see photos taken over the past year of all the changes! We're working hard at raising funds to make the camp safer and more comfortable for the campers and staff. Many thanks to our donors and volunteers that support the changes and have given time and financial support to start the rebuilding of Camp Allen. What a difference you make!!

We're well underway with new infrastructure almost completed, we've moved buildings into better positions for better access and even a new cabin that will be ready for summer 2012! And there are more plans, plans, and plans!

Life Camp, our first session in mid May was a big success. Once again, new and returning staff traveled from all over the world joining us in sharing their guidance, skills and experience. The focus was on campers 18 and older to learn how to add more independence to their lives. They learned living within a budget, cooking meals, writing resumes and interviewing for jobs, nutrition, first aid, as well as learning about fire and personal safety and all while having fun. The campers shared their experiences and all they had learned at a presentation to family and friends at the end of the week. New and lasting friendships were created as the campers supported each other while learning their new skills!
